What is Sculptra?

How many treatments will I need?
We typically recommend two to three treatments spaced about six to eight weeks apart for optimal results. We will tailor a treatment plan to fit your specific needs, however. On average, we recommend one vial per decade of age…meaning if you’re in your 40s, you would receive three to four vials of Sculptra in total.
Will I need any recovery time after treatment with Sculptra?
There is little to no downtime needed with Sculptra. Common side effects include mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, but these usually resolve within a few days. You can return to most daily activities right away. Aftercare is simple. You will be instructed to massage the area for five minutes five times a day for five days (the 5,5,5 method).
Are the results immediate?
Results from treatment with Sculptra are not immediate. Most people begin to see gradual improvements over a few weeks as their body stimulates collagen production. Full results typically appear within two to three months.
